Best Green Companies 2010 Winners Announced
2nd June 2010
The 2010 Sunday Times Best Green Companies Awards took place on the 26th of May at Kensington Roof Gardens, London.
Once again Munro Global designed the web-based survey programme and were responsible for data collection and analysis, as well as helping all companies through the submission process.
The awards are based on two data sets for each company. Hard measures such as carbon footprint, waste production and recycling levels are combined with responses from an employee survey which probes for environmental attitudes and behaviour.
Will Ullstein of Munro Global said: “Now in it’s third year, this award goes from strength to strength. Despite the economic uncertainty, companies still recognise the need to encourage greener behaviour, both in business practice and in general employee actions. ”
“Results show that companies are becoming more innovative in tackling green issues and staff are willing and able to drive through change.”
The Best Green Companies in Britain were revealed in the Sunday Times Green List published within The Sunday Times on May 30th 2010. The winners this year are UKOS - an office supply company who have recently introduced reusable packaging which has significantly reduced wastage for themselves and their customers.
